MIRCETTE (Desogestrel)

Mircette is used as birth control to prevent pregnancy. Mircette contains a combination of female hormones that prevent ovulation. Mircette also causes changes in your cervical mucus and uterine lining, making it harder for sperm to reach the uterus and harder for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus. The tablet contains two hormones are progesterone and estrogen. These hormones prevent pregnancy. Dosage:- For maximum effectiveness, Mircette should be used at intervals of more than 24 hours and the user may be initiated using a Sunday start or a day 1 start. Sunday start: Take the first white tablet on the first Sunday after the start of the menstruation period. If the period starts on Sunday, take the first pill that day. For the next 21 days, take on a white tablet daily. Then, take one light-green tablet per day for the next 2 days and one yellow pill daily for the following 5 days. The final yellow tablet marks the end of a 28-day regime and the user should start the next cycle the following day.
